Mamma Mia announces relaxed performance

It has been announced that on Tuesday 26th November 2013, there will be a ‘relaxed performance’ of Mamma Mia at the Novello Theatre for families with one or more children with special needs.
Relaxed performances are designed to provide an opportunity for people with autism, learning difficulties or other sensory and communication needs who require a more relaxed environment. This follows Mousetrap Theatre Projects’ (MTP) hugely successful relaxed performance of Shrek The Musical at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane Theatre in May 2012.
The musical’s producer, Judy Craymer said: “We are absolutely delighted to support this truly wonderful charity and have a special relaxed performance of Mamma Mia where everyone can do just that and be transported to a sunny Greek Island. We are thrilled to be able to open our doors to these families who would otherwise not consider taking their children to a West End show. I hope it is popular and we can then make it a regular date in the show’s calendar.”

Littlestar are supporting the performance, meaning the show’s producers and theatre owners have been able to reduce the cost of tickets:

Stalls and Dress Circle: Adults £20, Child £10
Grand Circle: Adult £10, Child £5
Balcony: Adult £5, Child £2.50

To book tickets, applicants need to be referred by one of Mousetrap Theatre Projects’ Partners Organisations. For more information, please go to http://www.mousetrap.org.uk/index.php/special-educational-needs/relaxed-performances/mamma-mia-relaxed-performance-autumn-2013.html
