Pam Gems’ Piaf has extended its run at the Charing Cross Theatre until 9th January 2016. The show opened on 1st December 2015.
Piaf tells the extraordinary life of Edith Piaf, and featuring 17 of her iconic songs including Hymne à l’amour, La Vie En Rose, Millord and her signature tune Non, Je Ne Regrette Rien. On Sunday (19th December) the production will celebrate the 100th anniversary of Edith Piaf’s birthday.
Gems’ play received its world premiere in 1978, performed by the Royal Shakespeare Company, and subsequently transferred to the West End and Broadway. The cast of this production includes Cameron Leigh as Piaf, Valerie Cutko and Samantha Spurgin.
Jari Laakso directs with musical arrangements and supervision by Isaac McCullough, movement direction by Katya Bourvis, design by Philippa Batt and lighting by Chris Randall.
