John Owen-Jones returning to Broadway to star in Les Misérables

It has been announced that the Broadway revival of Les Misérables will close after 1,026 performances over two-and-a-half years on 4th September 2016.

Alfie Boe, who is currently playing Jean Valjean, will play his final performance on 28th February 2016. On 1st March 2016 John Owen-Jones, who played the role on Broadway in 2007, will return to the show and star as Jean Valjean until the musical closes.

The cast also includes Will Swenson as Javert, Montego Glover as Fantine, Gavin Lee as Thenardier, Rachel Izen as Madame Thenardier, Brennyn Lark as Eponine, Chris McCarrell as Marius, Alex Finke as Cosette and Wallace Smith as Enjolras. Hayden Tee takes over as Javert on 29th January.

Owen-Jones recently returned to the West End production of The Phantom of the Opera.
