The Regent's Park Open Air Theatre has announced its 2016 season.
Artistic director Timothy Sheader will direct a new production of Jesus Christ Superstar by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, marking the first time their work has been staged at the venue.
With choreography by Drew McOnie, Jesus Christ Superstar begins performances from 15th July and runs to 17th August.
Samuel Adamson's adaptation of Running Wild by Michael Morpurgo will kick off the season, running between 13th May and 12th June. Marking 400 years since Shakespeare's death, Robert Hastie will stage Henry V from 17th June.
In addition, the Open Air Theatre's 2013 production of Pride and Prejudice, directed by Deborah Bruce, will return to the venue ahead of a UK tour.
Sheader said "In a year when the world celebrates the life and work of Shakespeare, our 2016 season champions British writing. Whilst giving classics a new voice through outdoor production, I am delighted to be bringing a new play, Running Wild, to the stage this season."
Public booking opens at 11am on 8th December 2015.
