Jim Broadbent to star in West End production of A Christmas Carol

As previously reported by West End FrameJim Broadbent will star as Scrooge in A Christmas Carol at the Noel Coward Theatre this Christmas.

Directed by Phelim McDermott, the production opens on 9th December 2015 (previews from 30th November) and runs until 30th January 2016.

The play has been adapted by Patrick Barlow from Charles Dickens' classic story of greed, grief, ghoulish ghosts and eleventh-hour redemption.

From Scrooge and Tiny Tim to Bob Cratchit and Mrs. Fezziwig, Barlow's imaginative adaptation of A Christmas Carol will bring some of Dickens' most memorable characters to life in the West End this winter. Broadbent will be joined by "an exciting group" of  to be announced performers.

Design is by Tom Pye with movement direction by Toby Sedgwick, lighting by Peter Mumford and sound by Gareth Fry.

A Christmas Carol and The Mackintosh Foundation are proud to be supporting St Martin-in-the-Fields’ Christmas Appeal by donating 50 pence for each ticket purchased. The appeal raises money to assist homeless people with shelter, food, help and advice.
