A creative team is yet to be announced for the show which is likely to premiere on Broadway.
According to the AP, producer Kevin McCollum is teaming up with 20th Century Fox to create a musical adaptation of the film. McCollum's Broadway credits include Hand to God and Something Rotten, which he is hoping to transfer to the West End next year.
Meryl Streep famously received her 14th Oscar nomination for her performance as Miranda Priestly in the 2006 film adaptation of Lauren Weisberger's novel. Anne Hathaway played Andrea Sachs, a college graduate who goes to New York City and lands a job as a co-assistant to powerful fashion magazine editor Miranda Priestly.
