Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown announces early closure

The West End production of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown will now close at the Playhouse Theatre on 23rd May 2015. It had previously extended to 22nd August 2015.

Producers said: "We're very proud of this production, our superb cast and creative team, and the wonderful critical and audience response during the season."

Tamsin Greig (pictured right) and Haydn Gwynne both received Olivier Award nominations for their roles in the show. The cast also includes: Ricardo Afonso, Marianne Benedict, Seline Hizli, Holly James, Michael Matus, Rebecca McKinnis, Sarah Moyle, Alastair Natkiel, Haydn Oakley, Jérôme Pradon, Nuno Queimado, Dale Rapley, Anna Skellern, and Willemijn Verkaik. Bartlett Sher directs.

The UK première of David Yazbek and Jeffrey Lane’s musical comedy adaptation of Pedro Almodóvar’s Oscar-nominated film Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown opened at the Playhouse Theatre on 12th January 2015. Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown premiered on Broadway in November 2010 but closed after sixty-nine performances.
