Full casting announced for Teddy at the Southwark Playhouse

Full casting has been announced for the world première of Teddy by Tristan Bernays.

Directed by Eleanor Rhode, the production opens at the Southwark Playhouse on 8th June (previews from 4th June) and runs until 27th June 2015.

Will Payne plays 1950s heartthrob Johnny Valentine, lead singer of rock ‘n’ roll band The Broken Hearts, whose live performance of Dougal Irvine’s songs, underscores the show.

The Broken Hearts line-up is completed by Alexander Bean, Alice Offley and Harrison White, who also takes the role of musical director. They join the previously announced Joseph Prowen and Jennifer Kirby in the roles of Teddy and Josie.

Elephant and Castle. 1956. Saturday night. Teddy and Josie are about to hit the streets of London for a good time. It's pissing it down, they're totally skint, and someone wants them dead - but a little trouble never stopped a Ted from having a good time. Desperate times call for rock 'n' roll. Expect sex, violence and damn good hair.
