Earl Carpenter returning to Broadway production of Les Miserables

Earl Carpenter is returning to the Broadway production of Les Miserables.

Carpenter will replace Will Swenson as Javert from 12th May 2015 at the Imperial Theatre. He previously starred in the production last summer whilst Swenson briefly departed the show.

Carpenter also played Javert in the Toronto production of Les Miserables opposite Ramin Karimloo as Valjean. 

Directed by James Powell and Laurence Connor, the current Broadway cast also includes: Karimloo as Valjean, Samantha Hill as Cosette, Chris McCarrell as Marius, Wallace Smith as Enjolras, Erika Henningsen as Fantine, Brennyn Lark as Eponine, Gavin Lee as Thenardier and Rachel Izen as Madame Thenardier.

Carpenter recently reprised his portrayal of the title role in the West End production of The Phantom of the Opera. He previously played Javert in the West End production of Les Miserables as well as in the 25th Anniversary UK Tour. 

He has also made appearances in: Evita, We Will Rock You, Zorro, Sunset Boulevard, Beauty and the Beast, The Secret Garden, The Merry Widow, Between the Lines and The Witches of Eastwick.
