The Three Lions to open at the St James Theatre later this month

The Three Lions by William Gaminara will open at the St James Theatre later this month following its 2013 Edinburgh run and current UK Tour.

The production opens on 26th March (previews from 24th March) and runs until 2nd May 2015.

The cast includes Dugald Bruce-Lockhart, Tom Davey and Séan Browne as David Beckham, David Cameron and Prince William. The Three Lions is directed by Philip Wilson with set and costume by Colin Falconer and lighting by Malcom Rippeth.

A footballer, a prince and a prime minister walk into a hotel room…..

This hilarious new comedy offers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of diplomacy in action, revealing what really went on between David Cameron, David Beckham and Prince William in a Swiss hotel the night before England’s bid to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

In spite of missed planes, mistaken identities, misunderstandings and sartorial challenges, they are determined to bring the beautiful game home. In spite of their eagerness to please FIFA and each other, misunderstandings and faux pas abound as the three protagonists try to keep a grasp on an increasingly elusive goal... But when things start to go disastrously and deliciously wrong, three heads may not be better than one.
