Beautiful - The Carole King Musical, which opened at the Aldwych Theatre earlier this week, has extended its West End booking period to 13th February 2016.
Over 350,000 new tickets have been released for sale. The show is based on the early life and career of legendary singer/ songwriter Carole King. Katie Brayben has recieved huge acclaim for her portrayal of the lead role.
The cast also includes Ian McIntosh as Barry Mann, Alan Morrissey as Gerry Goffin, Lorna Want as Cynthia Weil, Glynis Barber as Genie Klein and Gary Trainor as Don Kirshner.
With a cast of 26 and an orchestra of 12, Beautiful - The Carole King Musical features the Carole King classics including So Far Away, It Might As Well Rain Until September, Take Good Care of my Baby, Will You Love Me Tomorrow, Up on the Roof, Locomotion, One Fine Day, You’ve Got a Friend, (You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman and I Feel the Earth Move, along with hits like You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling, On Broadway and Uptown from songwriters Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil.
The cast is completed by Vivien Carter, Ed Currie, Oliver Lidert, Fela Lufadeju, Tanya Nicole-Edwards, Terel Nugent , Jay Perry, Tanisha Spring, Lucy St. Louis, Danielle Steers, Dylan Turner, Joanna Woodwood, Andy Coxon, Jason Denton, Michael Anthony Duke, Joel Harper-Jackson, Rosie Heath, Aisha Jawando, Hannah Jay-Allan and Leigh Lothian.
Grammy and two-time Tony award-winning Beautiful - The Carole King Musical continues at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre on Broadway where it opened on 12th January last year and has subsequently become one of Broadway’s top selling shows, playing to capacity houses. A US tour will commence in September 2015 in Rhode Island.
