In just three weeks time the West End will come together to raise money for the Help For Heroes charity. Taking place at the newly refurbished Dominion Theatre, the West End Heroes gala concert will be hosted by the Olivier Award winning Michael Ball. Watch a preview video for the event below.
Last year's West End Heroes saw the casts of many of the biggest West End musicals unite with the finest UK military bands and musicians in a stunning performance that raised over £88,000 for the Help For Heroes charity. This year's show takes place on the evening of Sunday 28th September 2014. Producers are aiming to raise more than £100,000.
Returning to form the centerpiece of the gala and under the directorship of Wing Commander Duncan Stubbs will be The Central Band of the Royal Air Force, which is widely regarded as one of the finest military bands in the UK and incorporates the celebrated RAF Squadronaires Big Band. West End Heroes will once again be generously supported by many TV and theatre stars and will feature line-ups from current and past West End Shows.
Help for Heroes is a charity that offers comprehensive support to those who have suffered life-changing injuries and illnesses while serving their country. This is provided through grants to individuals, other Service charities, capital build projects and four Personnel Recovery Centres across the UK.
