I Believe in Unicorns to tour UK following West End run

As the West End run of I Believe in Unicorns concludes, it has been announced that the show will tour theatres and libraries across the UK this autumn and winter. Performances begin on 6th September in Watford before making its way around the UK, ending on 13th December in Leicester.

Michael Morpurgo said: "It is wonderful that a magic unicorn is coming to town, a unicorn like no other. A horse, like War Horse is one thing - also like no other - but a unicorn? No one will believe it until they see it, but a unicorn, once seen, like the horse, like Joey, is always believed."

This utterly magical one-woman show, starring storyteller Danyah Miller, is set in a library full of books which contain more than stories within their pages. It is a tale of the power of books and the bravery of a young boy called Tomas. He loves playing in the mountains and hates reading and school but his world is turned upside down the day he meets the Unicorn and the Unicorn Lady in his local library.

An interactive show that captures the enchantment of storytelling, I Believe in Unicorns sparks the imagination of both children and adults and is suitable for everyone over 5 years old.

This show is devised and produced by Wizard Presents, directed by Dani Parr (Associate Director of Royal & Derngate), designed by Kate Bunce, with music and sound by Martin Thompson, lighting by Will Evans and projection by Arnim Freiss.
