Breaking News: Sarah Earnshaw to play The Lady of the Lake in Spamalot

According to Buchanan Associates, Sarah Earnshaw will be taking over the role of 'Lady of the Lake' in Spamalot from 4th March 2013. Anna-Jane Casey will leave the show on 2nd March with Stephen Tompkinson who plays King Arthur. Further information to follow...

Sarah Earnshaw was recently in Scrooge at the London Palladium and is well known for playing Standby Glinda in the West End production of Wicked.

“Lovingly ripped off” from the 1975 film Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Spamalot tells the tale of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table in their quest to find the religious relic – and features a chorus line of dancing divas (with serfs), flatulent Frenchmen, killer rabbits and a legless knight.

The musical has a book and lyrics by original Python Eric Idle, who also co-wrote the music with John Du Prez. The West End production, which ran at the Palace from 16th October 2006 to 3rd January 2009, reunited the Broadway creative team including director Mike Nichols and set and costume designer Tim Hatley.
