The last 12 months have been incredible for the West End with a variety of new shows opening. We have also seen some incredible West End debuts which is why, following the success of last months 'Understudy Of The Year' poll, it was decided that this months poll should be 'Best West End Debut'. There is a mixture of nominees, from plays and musicals who have all made spectacular West End Debuts in the last year.

Voting opened Friday 8th June 2012 and will close Friday 20th July 2012. This means you have 6 weeks to spread the word and ensure your favourite West End Star wins! The specific time that voting closes will be announced nearer the time. The result will also be revealed on Friday 20th July (the same date that voting closes).
UPDATE: On Friday 20th July 2012 voting will close at 2pm. The result will then be published at 3pm however we will announce the winner on our Facebook and Twitter pages slightly earlier.

This is such a hard choice!!!! But for me it has to be Adam Pettigrew - such an amazing Boq who I fall in love with each time I see the show!

ReplyDeleteIncredibly hard decision, would have gone to Pettigrew with no hesitation were it not for Lawther playing and enveloping his role beyond what even Hare could have envisaged. Frighteningly real!

ReplyDeleteconsidering most of these guys have had significant theatre/tv/film exposure before I think it's fairly relevant to note that this is Alex Lawthers professional debut aswell!!! (having transferred with the play from Chichester). Amazing performance, cannot wait to see what the lad does next - ill be there!!!
